Exploiting Context in Gesture Recognition
Recognition of human behaviour is receiving increasing attention in computer vision, and has many useful applications. In this work we investigate how head pose can be exploited to impose contextual constraints for the recognition of gestures. The method is demonstrated in a video conferencing scenario involving three people who use gestures to control the camera and focus of attention.

15 صفحه اولGesture Saliency: A Context-Aware Analysis
This paper presents a motion attention model that aims at analyzing gesture saliency using context-related information at three different levels. At the first level, motion features are compared in the spatial context of the current video frame; at the intermediate level, salient behavior is analyzed on a short temporal context; at the third level, computation of saliency is extended to longer ...
متن کاملThe Role of Context in Head Gesture Recognition
Head pose and gesture offer several key conversational grounding cues and are used extensively in face-to-face interaction among people. We investigate how dialog context from an embodied conversational agent (ECA) can improve visual recognition of user gestures. We present a recognition framework which (1) extracts contextual features from an ECA’s dialog manager, (2) computes a prediction of ...
متن کاملContext-Based Bounding Volume Morphing in Pointing Gesture Application
In the last few years the number of intelligent systems has been growing rapidly and classical interaction devices like mouse and keyboard are replaced in some use cases. Novel, goal-based interaction systems, e.g. based on gesture and speech allow a natural control of various devices. However, these are prone to misinterpretation of the user’s intention. In this work we present a method for su...
